Michael, my friend. The Clash will always be one of my favourite rock bands. London Calling is of course a classic, and I love Sandinista too. I prefer the early singles to the early albums, and Combat Rock was definitely a step down (whilst still a good album, it could never hold a candle to the previous two), but The Clash will always be a great rock band in my book.
The Living End… I’ve never been too keen on them, even the early material. I’m not sure why, but they’ve never done much for me. So, I’m sorry and I appreciate how much you love them, but I’m going to have to dismiss The Living End.
As for Lucero, I honestly can’t comment too much. Apart from a few songs you played at my house that time, I’m really not familiar with their oeuvre. I didn’t mind what I did hear, however, but I didn’t find them memorable enough to really capture my current thoughts on them. Sorry about that one.
Even though our tastes can be different sometimes, I’m giving you a passing grade. You have better taste than (insert chocolate bar manufacturer) ever did anyway ;)
